Sreeram Visvanathan is a global CEO, C-suite mentor, and board director with over 30 years of experience in leadership positions across mature and emerging markets in Technology, Consulting and Private Equity industries. As a Partner at Motive Partners, Visvanathan is responsible for value creation across a broad portfolio of Fintech companies through a focus on technology and business model innovation, strategic alignment, operational transformation and leadership.

Visvanathan specializes in coaching C-Suite executives leveraging his deep expertise in P&L management, business transformation, Data & AI, technology and his understanding of global markets. His career spans across diverse industries with significant depth in Public Sector, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Financial Services. He has worked across multiple geographies including UK & Ireland, North America, Middle East, large parts of Africa and Asia. Visvanathan enjoys helping leaders thrive in complex matrix organisations, especially at times of significant disruption.

Career History

Visvanathan is currently a Partner at Motive Partners, a Private Equity firm and leads Motive Create, the innovation and value creation arm of Motive Partners. Motive Partners is a private investment firm exclusively focused on financial technology and technology-enabled business services companies, ranging from early-stage ventures to growth equity and buyout. Visvanathan works with a large portfolio of Fintech firms driving innovation across every aspect of the business with a particular focus on leveraging Data, AI and improving the Go to Market focus of each firm in the portfolio.

Visvanathan is a Board member with Electric Mind, an AI focused software engineering company and with TGA, an AI platform that enables organisations to modernize learning by developing engaging games that support transformation.

Prior to joining Motive Partners, Visvanathan held multiple leadership roles during a long career at IBM. He was the CEO of IBM UK & Ireland, overseeing a $5B P&L and leading 20,000+ employees at a time of significant transformation. Previously, he led IBM’s Global Public Sector business across software, hardware and services ($13B) and helped establish and rapidly grow the Consulting business across 69 countries in Middle East & Africa.

Visvanathan served on various governing roles at IBM, as the Chair of the IBM UK Board, as an active member of the Performance Team (Chairman’s leadership team), the Global Strategy Team, the Global Acceleration Team and as a member of the IBM Industry Academy.

Prior to joining IBM, Visvanathan worked with PwC Consulting, Dubai Aluminium Company (now Emirates Aluminium) and with Nestle.

Personal

Visvanathan has an Honors Bachelors in Computer Science from Kingston University and an MBA in Distinction from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. Visvanathan is passionate about building winning teams and in culture led transformation. He has strong followership and enjoys coaching leaders in different industries. He continues to be an advisor, Board member, angel investor and speaker on digital transformation.
