Overview
Kathy Waller is an accomplished senior executive and Fortune 100 CFO. She has over 35 years of experience, culminating in a five-year stint as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and President, Enabling Services of The Coca-Cola Company. At The ExCo Group, she serves on the board of directors. She is the first Black and first female CFO of a Fortune 100 company.
Career History
In addition to her work at The ExCo Group, Waller currently serves on the board of Delta Airlines, where she is a member of the Audit, Corporate Governance, and Safety & Security Committees. She is also a board member of the CGI Group and serves on its Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Additionally, she holds board positions with Beyond Meat, Cadence Bank, Spelman College, The Girls Scouts, and The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Previously, Waller served on the board of directors of Coca-Cola FEMSA, SAB de CV, and Monster Beverage Corporation.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Coca-Cola Company, Waller was responsible for the overall financial organization, including accounting, financial planning, investor relations, M&A, corporate tax, corporate treasury, and the financial capabilities team.
She also assumed responsibility for the company’s strategic governance areas when she was appointed to serve as President, Enabling Services in 2017. Prior to serving as CFO, Waller was Sr. Vice President, Finance and Controller, where she was responsible for the internal control environment of the company, the consolidation of the company’s financial statements, corporate treasury, corporate tax, and finance capability building. Previously, she held the position of Chief of Internal Audit.
Waller joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1987 as a Senior Accountant in the accounting research department and held a number of accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, Waller worked as a Senior Accountant for Deloitte Haskins and Sells.
Personal
Waller is a 2007 recipient of the University of Rochester William E. Simon School Distinguished Alumna Award, the 2007 Treasury and Risk Magazine 100 Most Influential People in Finance designation, and the 2005 University of Rochester Career Achievement Award.
Waller received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Rochester and her MBA in accounting and finance from the William E. Simon School of Business Administration. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
