Kathleen Dyer is an accomplished C-suite executive. She brings 35 years of experience leading major transformation initiatives spanning the healthcare, technology, telecommunications, education, government, and nonprofit sectors. At The ExCo Group, she works with Fortune 250 executives in the retail, oil and energy industries.

Career History
As a member of the C-Suite and Executive Council at Adventist HealthCare, Dyer led the transformation of the company in her role as CIO. She spearheaded the alignment of the organization’s long-term growth strategies and initiatives with the IT strategy and architecture. She was responsible for leading major technology initiatives focused on electronic health records implementations and optimization, clinical quality and business process improvements, efficient and integrated revenue cycle management, and healthcare data analytics. This was the cornerstone of the company’s strategy, which positioned it for future success and growth.
Previously, Dyer was a member of the Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Leadership Team and served on the Executive Committee. In her role as Principle she led major federal government change initiatives based on IT, process improvements, and stakeholder and customer engagement. As a member of Booz Allen’s senior leadership team, she worked on strategy and investment initiatives to enhance the firm’s intellectual capital and service delivery capabilities, as well as people and leadership development initiatives.
Prior to Booz, Dyer held leadership positions with major telecommunications industry leaders and educational, mental health, and financial institutions. Her early professional experience as an educator, mental health leader, and organizational development consultant, along with her professional coaching certification, have been invaluable to her success as an executive mentor of high-performing leadership teams.
Dyer has received numerous industry recognition, including a Lifetime Achievement Award for Women in Technology. She has served as a board member for the National Women Health Resource Center and The American University’s Information Technology Executive Council.
Personal
In addition to her work at The ExCo Group, Dyer serves as an adjunct professor at The American University’s Kogod School of Business, providing MBA students with an in-depth understanding of how to strategically align emerging technologies with business imperatives. Dyer holds a master’s degree in information technology from The American University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a certified professional coach.
