Overview

Josh Walden is a former Fortune 50 senior executive with nearly four decades of experience running large, multinational, multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing organizations. Walden’s experience spans responsibility for multibillion-dollar global manufacturing operations, advanced technical research, and global operations with full profit and loss ownership. He is recognized for delivering year-on-year efficiency improvements resulting in world-class cycle time, quality, and capital efficiency while simultaneously fostering a leadership environment with best-in-class organizational health scores.

Career History

Prior to joining The ExCo Group, Walden served as COO of Footprint, where he owned all aspects of worldwide manufacturing/ramp, facilities, construction, site selection, and process engineering of fiber-based packaging solutions to address the environmental crisis of plastic pollution.

Most notably, Walden spent nearly four decades at Intel Corporation. Prior to transitioning to Footprint, he was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Product Assurance and Security Group.

In this role, he was tasked with building a security-first culture across the company. Additionally, he defined and delivered differentiating security architecture and engineering for Intel’s worldwide product portfolio. Walden held senior leadership roles overseeing global Design Engineering and led Intel’s portfolio of emerging technologies, including Intel Labs/advanced research. Additionally, he was key in scaling global manufacturing operations and is credited for proliferating Intel’s Copy Exactly! methodology, a core tenet of Intel’s manufacturing transfer methodology.

Throughout his career, Walden was a vocal champion for diversity and inclusion, serving as the executive sponsor for multiple employee resource groups and mentoring countless team members.

Personal

Walden is currently on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Florida’s College of Engineering. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
