OVERVIEW
Sreeram Visvanathan is a global leader and former CEO with over 30 years of experience helping complex organizations and government institutions drive value from their digital transformation initiatives. He has a strong track record of leading large, multi-cultural and global teams in sales and delivery. As a mentor at The ExCo Group, Visvanathan advises clients on scaling through technology and how best to create momentum within an organization.
CAREER HISTORY
As CEO of IBM UK & Ireland, he guided the business through a period of significant change, refined and aligned the strategy to market needs and turned around financial results leading to consistent double-digit growth. Visvanathan helped re-establish IBM’s reputation as an innovative organization and led an internal cultural shift that attracted strong talent and drove engagement across the business.
Prior to this role, Visvanathan served as Global Managing Director for IBM’s Public Sector, covering federal and state government, healthcare, and life sciences clients worldwide. In this role, he developed IBM’s strategy for the sector, aligned the company’s offerings to industry needs, and worked with his globally distributed leadership team to drive growth. Previously, Visvanathan was an integral part of IBM’s Growth Market Unit, which focused on establishing and rapidly expanding the Consulting business across the Middle East & Africa.
Visvanathan served on various governing roles at IBM as an active member of the Performance Team (Chairman’s leadership team), the Global Strategy Team, and the Global Acceleration Team, and was a member of the IBM Industry Academy.
Prior to joining IBM, Visvanathan was a Principal Consultant at PwC and previously worked with Dubai Aluminium Company (now Emirates Aluminium) and Nestle.

Visvanathan is passionate about building winning teams and helping organizations scale by focusing on culture and adopting innovative technologies. He continues to be an advisor and sought-after speaker on digital transformation.
Visvanathan received a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Computer Science from Kingston University and an MBA with Distinction from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. He currently resides in Dubai.
