Clark Pettit is an accomplished corporate executive, board advisor, and recovering engineer. He brings over 25 years of global operational experience in the chemical and construction industries and has a successful track record driving digital transformation for several of the world’s largest media and entertainment companies. At The ExCo Group, he has mentored CEOs and emerging C-suite executives in the financial services and technology sectors.

Career History
Pettit worked for six years in Hong Kong, including three years with Dow Chemical, where he gained Asia-wide experience. He also spent over a year in Taiwan with Parson Brinckherhoff. His work in Asia includes managing Asia-wide multi-cultural teams in areas such as technology, logistics, shared services, and engineering.
In addition to his work at The ExCo Group, Pettit serves on the advisory boards of several rapid-growth, technology-based businesses.
Pettit has held senior executive roles with leading global companies, including EMI Music, Ascent Media, Accenture, and The Dow Chemical Company. His experience includes international responsibility for successfully launching global digital businesses in the music, film, and television industries, growing new digital subscription businesses, market share, and revenues across numerous geographies, and handling major industry mergers and acquisitions. Throughout his career, Pettit has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Paris, London, New York, and Los Angeles, where he has held regional or global responsibility for leading the development of new products, business models, and strategic partnerships.
Most recently, Pettit served as president and CEO of the Association of Business Information and Media Companies (ABM), representing the $27B business-to-business information and media industry. In this role, he led an extensive organizational turnaround, leveraging his M&A and industry experience to define disruptive business models, accelerate new revenue streams, and spearhead an industry-wide restructuring. This culminated in a successful merger with the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA).
Personal
Pettit holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Arizona State University. His other pursuits have included real estate development, practicing martial arts in the US and Asia, horseback riding, and he now lives on a ranch with his wife and daughter.
