Overview

Paul Bucknor is a Consultant at The ExCo Group, supporting select consulting projects and contributing to key initiatives across various sectors. In his day-to-day, Paul works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions across ExCo’s service offerings and broader enterprise. He plays a key role in creating alignment between ExCo mentors and the firm, ensuring that resources are up-to-date and positioned to help mentors effectively connect with clients and drive their success. With a strong focus on collaboration and strategic problem-solving, Paul ensures the delivery of initiatives and outcomes that meet the strategic goals of clients, customers, and the organization.

Career History

Prior to joining The ExCo Group, Paul worked as a Digital Delivery Analyst for the People and Organizational Performance hub at McKinsey & Company, where he supported and coordinated program delivery initiatives for the Management Accelerator and Executive Leadership Development programs that were part of the Connected Leaders Academy.

Before McKinsey & Company, Paul worked for UMBC Training Centers as a Program Coordinator. During his tenure, Paul launched and co-managed over 50 professional development programs across various sectors, including Cyber Security, Project Management, and Leadership and Innovation. He also designed and created internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical help guides to help facilitate strategic learning initiatives. Paul also developed and implemented an Emerging Leaders Career Coaching program at UMBC-TC, designed for early career students seeking non-technical soft-skill development to advance their careers.

Personal

Paul earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Towson University and his Master’s in Organizational Development and leadership from Saint Joseph’s University. He has lived in Maryland his entire life and resides in a Baltimore, MD suburb. When he is not working, Paul enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, traveling, and mentoring.
